Breaking Bundesliga News: Werder Bremen claim to be on verge of signing Santos’ midfielder, Wesley
It was apparent when the Werder Bremen star Mesut Oezil was going to leave Bundesliga that the German club would need another star to replace him with and their secret search was going on for a while and now finally claim to have found a possible replacement for him.
Bremen has announced that they are about to sign the Santos’ talented midfielder, Wesley. Bremen has stated that they are on the verge of a four year contract with Wesley and all that remains right now is the medical clearance of the player.
The reason they had signed in Wesley is because Jose Mourinho, the manager at Real Madrid has brought Ozil. Sadly though, they already have a star studded line up at Real and Ozil faces a hard chance of playing in the starting line up like he used to at Bremen.
The Sporting Director of Klaus Allofs has expressed, “We needed great patience and have now been rewarded, reinforcing with Wesley who is a very versatile and dynamic player and can play in all midfield positions.”
It is said that the 23 year old has signed in at Weserstadion for 7.5 million pounds and intends to stay there for the next 4 seasons as he has signed a four year contract. It has been predicted by all experts that the star would improve the quality of the teams midfield and take them a step ahead in performance.
The newly signed star stated, “It's my dream to play in a top league with a top club. I am overjoyed that this has worked out with Werder Bremen. I look forward to [moving to] the city and making the fans happy”.
The Head coach of Bremen, Thomas Schaaf was exuberant over the signing and said that he expected great things from the Brazilian. He said that the player had improved his form over the years. He also stated that he has witnessed his talent and expects his to be a dominant player in Bundesliga.
Schaaf stated, “We have always said we are looking for interesting players and were specifically looking at Wesley with interest”. He added that, “The transfer has now been realised and further increases the quality of our team. Our attention, however, should now be on the Bundesliga opener against Hoffenheim”.
