Breaking Dawn......A theory about the Vampire Index?

Question

By the finish of the twilight series, i began to wonder about each character and to get an insight of it's personality and i came to Marcus and here's the thing:

this question could have theories by ones who read new moon too not only breaking dawn... well we see how marcus is always bored and not interested and i wondered why is that, but then i read the vampire index at the end and i saw in the volturi coven that marcus's wife "Didyme" had been crossed out (means dead) and i thought maybe that's why he's so bored of everything that he'd lost interest in life after his wife's death

so what do u think ..tell me ur views and ur theories also if stephenie might have said anything about it or about her talent because in the vampire index it was also made that she had a talent like Edward and Alice

hmm, never thought about that...oh and the official guide for the twilight saga is coming out december 30th so maybe they'll have something about it in there, hopefully

i did wonder briefly why he was bored but it didnt really bother me much, now youve got me to thinking haha.

o and what happened to midnight sun upsets me, i dont think people should be reading it yet, they'll ruin it. i personally will wait until it is published, i dont want to ruin it for myself. its just a rough draft so its not the same. i hope she still publishes it, or else i will be really upset

It is just a dimension of that particular character.  He was one of the Old Ones and was "seemingly bored" .  It made him more passive versus dangerous and was just one of the dimensions in the writing.   Nothing more, nothing less.
