okay,i have a couple questions about breaking dawn because breaking dawn isnt a book that i understand very well for some reason....and a question from eclipse...

1.In Eclipse(last few pages)Edward says Bella doesnt have to marry her and said he would still fullfill his promise and was about to "make love" with Bella in the meadow...why did Bella say that she rather marry him first?

2.In Breaking Dawn(wedding part)Bella wears a garter-a elastic band used to hold up a stocking or shirt sleeve-and it shimmes down to her ankle...where was it before it was at her ankle...was she putting it to hold up her tights or something?then it said edward flicked it at mike newton...but i dont see how he could

3.What does that Portugese lady mean when she says death to Bella and why doesnt Edward care that that lady thinks he is a vampire...

THANKS(:

  1. To answer your first question, I believe Bella agreed to marry Edward to make him happy.

    2. The garter is there around your thigh on your wedding day.. Some wedding tradition. Edward took it off with his teeth and flung it at Mike, as if to say "I got the girl"

    3. The portugese woman has heard about the baby vampire legends and knows the baby will probably kill her.

hope that cleared a few things up :)

  2. 1. Well, she sorta explained that herself. She wants to do things properly, and make sure her parents understand about her leaving.

    2. The garter is the guy's (more vulgar and less common) version of tossing the bouquet.

    3. Means Bella's gonna die. This lady grew up knowing about the whole vampire and evil baby thing, and she's got no one to tell.
