Breaking Dawn (Twilight.)...MIDNIGHT SUN!?!?!?

Question

I have read the book.

I am a huge fan of the series.

But honestly, I can not see why other fans thought it was bad!

I happen to love the book.

I do have a few minor problems with it.

One, I thought some parts were rushed. She could have easily made them more detailed.

Two, I really wanted some of this book to be in Edwards POV.

I think he is a is much more complex than any other character in the series. Alice in close second.

Three, I think that the baby shouldn't have grown so fast. It made the story seem much much more rushed.

Four, I hoped Bella wouldn't become a vampire until the very end.

But I have to say - they way she wrote the that part of the book (bella becoming a vampire) was lovely. I was glad when she did. I wanted her too. I just thought Edward would put it off.

Five. JACOB IMPRINTED ON THE BABY? I thought him and Leah made a much better couple.

But even through those problems I think the book was written well, I LOVED it. It didn't dissapoint me at all.

Now moving on....

I was super glad when I heard about Midnight Sun! EDWARDS POV! My problem two is fixed! If you haven't heard about Midnight Sun - it's basically Twilight told from Edward's POV. However, if she only does one book in Edwards POV I will be mad. You can not do that. If that was the case, she shouldn't have wrote this one at all..

I think it was really really amazing, but the whole Volturi thing really upset me, she wrote up to it for about 200 pages and then nothing happened really. But I read an interview and Stephenie said if the fight had happened not many Cullens would be left standing, and I would rather NOT have to deal with that! I felt the book was very rushed in many parts as well, and under-detailed as well [the honeymoon- yes I'm a creep!] Don't you think it would have been great if book 2 alternated between Edward and Jacob!? That would have been great, I just love the title of Jacobs chapters though. They are really funny.

I was SO pro-Jacob/Leah! But I always figured he would have imprinted on her when he first saw her, you know?

Ahh I know! Midnight Sun! And the movie! 11/21/08!

I loved Breaking Dawn.  I did not find anything wrong with it.  I melted when Nessie called Edward Daddy.  I can not wait for the Midnight Sun or the movie that has moved to be released on November 21.

are you sure you loved it? you seem to have a lot of complaints. all the same ones that made me hate it.

i hated the whole thing with her getting pregnant. it also felt quite confined just being in forks.

i reckon there shouldve been more of the volturi and others through the whole book and they shouldve travelled more - maybe to italy or down south like the other books. also there shouldve been a big fight at the end!

i thought the book was amazing i cant wait til midnight sun comes out but i agree if she only makes one ill be really mad and i thought the first chapter was good

I didn't like it because it was an total cop-out.

The thing that really go to me was all the useless dialog. She built the whole Voltori thing enough to have you at the edge of your seat and bam...

The have an epic convo!

I wanted more action! Gore! If they let her have that awful pregnancy scene we could've had a fight. Oh and I didn't like Bella's total Mary Sue change. And Edward...Poor Edward barely did anything but chuckle. A book from his POV would've been amazing. I think if we were to see how he felt during Bella's pregnancy. We would've been able to imagine him during NM when he thought Bella was dead, though watching it must have been so much worse. I liked Leah. I liked that she built up Leah's character but for what? I'm not interested enough in her to read a book about her. She had the chance to make her more important. Jacob should've fell in love with her. s***w imprinting. I wanted him to fall in love have a chocie. don't even get me started on Charlie. How lame can you get? "I don't want to hear it." What.The.h**l. I know Meyer didn't want to bring him in the whole mythical creatures thing but come on! Can you say terrible parent? "I don't want to hear it." Pfft come on. That was totally stupid.

I was sad, near the end with Mary Sue Bella. She had so many chances to make Bella be mature and she struck it down..

And NESSIE. I remember when she bit Bella during the pregnancy and Edward took her and was like "No Nessie. Thats bad." Then he put her down and resumed saving bella's life. That right there was a WTF moment! He had time to coo to the little monster while his wife is dying.

Oh and I laughed at the "Good bye Jacob blah blah my son."

What..The...Fuhk...

As for Midnight sun..The first chapter was decent. I want to see more of Edward. He's my favorite char (despite BD)  I want to see if he's more then sparkles and hawtness.

I'm indifferent about Breaking Dawn. I love how it ended with everyone being happy, even though a few questions were unanswered like what about Renee? I just wish that there was much more action and less gore about the pregnancy. I wanted a fight at the end, and at least one main character to die! Other than that, the book was alright. I think that I just expected something wayy different, so that's why I feel so indifferent.

Midnight Sun looks amazing from the first chapter. It could possibly be my new favorite book from SMeyer. From what I read in the first chapter, it looks very interesting to be in everyone's head and Edward's.

I liked it and I agree with you it was really rushed!!

And yes there will only be 1 book on Edward POV

SM said that New Moon was a really bad time for Edward and it would be a really depressing book and that she does not want to be in that position.

Yeah I though the first chapter was good

The rest is even better!!!!!
