Breaking EPL News: Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger optimist about midfielder Cesc Fabregas comeback in Chelsea after injury
It seems like the Gunners’ skipper might just make it to the mother match of London in the English Premier League as North and South London line up for Arsenal versus Chelsea clash.
Reliable sources have revealed that the world class Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas is hoping to make an English Premier League date against the Blues next week.
This has been later confirmed by the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, when he said that he is making a good recovery and hopes that he will feature in one of the most awaited encounters of the season.
While talking to media, the Frenchman told that he is optimist of the possible return of the Arsenal captain for the Premier League meeting against Chelsea. He stated that the medical team has informed him of the progress by the coveted player and, therefore,
he will definitely consider him for the match.
The 23-year-old midfielder Fabregas, had earlier injured his leg when he pulled his age old hamstring deflecting a clearance from Anton Ferdinand. It happened in the match against Sunderland which saw late reply by Sunderland leading to a 1 – 1 draw.
Before this, Fabregas had informed on his Twitter page that he would be out of play for at least a fortnight but all basically depended on the diagnosis of his medical team.
After the injury, the player was immediately rushed for medical care and after the match it was informed that the player had actually reawaken an old injury of his. When the final medical reports came in, it was clear that the player will not be playing
for at least two weeks, which could actually step into the third week if the progress was slow.
Fabregas was part of the team that won the FIFA 2010 World Cup. He also played a vital role in the victory for Spain. In fact he was the person who assisted Andres Iniesta in scoring the winner for the Spain final.
Now he has to wait until October 3rd for clash between the titans. Currently Chelsea is on top of the Premier League table closely followed by Arsenal at the 2nd position.
While of speaking to media, Wenger stated that the for a victory against a strong team like Chelsea at their home ground Stamford Bridge it would be key factor for Arsenal to have their prized players on the list.
The Arsenal team has not been finalized on the field, yet it is assumed that there will be some changes made.
On Fabregas’ injury and his role in the Chelsea match Wenger stated, “I hope that he will be ready for the Chelsea match and that he will be fine.”
Though he added, “But at the moment we don't know, it's too early.”
