Breaking News: David Beckham to train with Tottenham Hotspur till February 10th
Former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham has confirmed that he will train with Tottenham Hotspur till the end of the MLS season break.
The player’s statement arrived minutes after Spurs manager Harry Redknapp ruled out a 2 month loan move for the midfielder, with insurance issues being the ground in breaking off the deal.
The 35-year-old has now confirmed that he would love to train with his former youth club for about 3 weeks before returning to the Unites States following start of the MLS season.
"It's important that I maintain a high level of fitness during the MLS off season. I’m thankful to Tottenham and Harry Redknapp for giving me the opportunity to train with the team over the next month. I'm grateful to the LA Galaxy for allowing to me to
train with Spurs. I look forward to getting to work as soon as possible," stated the 35 year old midfielder.
Spurs boss Redknapp also hailed the player’s professionalism and claimed that the influence of the player would be beneficial to one and all at the club. The manager added that Beckham is a champion at heart and that attitude in the Spurs camp would be helpful
in motivating everyone in the camp. Redknapp therefore looked forward to have the player at White Hart Lane and claimed that he respected his devotion and commitment with LA Galaxy.
“They wanted him back in early February so that made it difficult to do a playing deal on the basis of three weeks," stated the Spurs coach.

out in the fixture. Tottenham Hotspur face Championship side Charlton Athletic today in an FA Cup 3rd round tie.
