Breaking News: EPL Round-Up: Chelsea, Everton
Chelsea: Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou has praised the approach of his club towards physical opponents and is steadfast in his club’s opinion of being able to defend the Premier League crown. The Ivory Coast striker has already scored 4 times in 5 Premier
League appearances being in the form of his life. However, the 25 year old is often used as a substitute in the attack line; nonetheless his description is that he is still happy to be part for the English Champions.
"We have a lot of speed up front", claimed the player in his praise for the attacking trio. Chelsea has scored over 30 goals already this season and have the best goal difference in the league. The side has gone 13 hours of football without conceding a single
goal at Stamford Bridge and are considered one of the most devastating teams on the planet. "We are strong and can run longer and faster. So for the defender it is really hard to keep up for 90 minutes with this kind of attacking set-up. If they want to get
physical with us we can respond and when they want to play good football we can also adapt to that. With our midfielders supporting us it is quite difficult for the defence to stop us" , claimed the 25 year old Ivorian.
Everton: Everton manager David Moyes plaudit the impact of Phil Neville for his impressive performance against Tottenham Hotspurs over the weekend. The 33 year old left back was exemplary in his approach towards the game and was successful in neutralizing
the threat of Gareth Bale, something which one of the best full backs like Maicon and Javier Zenetti failed to achieve. Bale is in the form of his life currently and managed a brilliant hatrick against Champions league winners Inter Milan.
However, Neville nullified the Bale threat on either wing, which was largely due to his 15 year experience in the Premier League. Owing to his performance, manager David Moyes was delighted with the player’s leadership quality. The manager stated that Neville
was a great leader and since has changed the entire functioning of the team since his return to the first team.
Moyes claimed that despite Neville not being the sharpest knife in the drawer, his leadership qualities have been outstanding. Moyes continued that Neville motivates the players in his own way both of and on the pitch, which was the major reason behind the
improvement in his form for Everton this season. Everton were on the worst start in the Premier League three weeks ago but have managed two back to back wins, which included their impressive 2-0 victory over neighbours Liverpool.
“He's a terrific leader, motivating, cajoling and he'll always be the first one to put his hand up if he thinks he's not been right on it", claimed the Everton boss.
