Breaking News: EPL Round-Up- Tottenham Hotspurs
Tottenham Hotspurs: Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has given in-form winger Gareth Bale a few days holiday owing to his impressive performances against Everton and Inter Milan this week. The manager has ordered the 21 year old to have a few days off and come
back fresh for a tough week ahead. Spurs travel to Old Trafford in the league this weekend and then host defending Champions Inter Milan at White Hart Lane on the coming Tuesday. Bale is in the form of his life this season, and his recent performance against
Inter Milan has plunged him onto being considered the World’s finest. The player scored a quick hatrick against the defending Champions league winners and absolutely ran rampant over one of the best defences on the planet.
Spurs were playing with 10 men when goal keeper Gomes was red carded on his foul on Samuel Eto on the 35th minute. Inter took advantage of this and scored 4 goals in quick succession to take a comfortable lead in the first half. However, Bale
had other ideas and scored three goals in quick succession to prove his mettle against the Italian Giants. Owing to this, the Spurs manager has ordered special treatment for the 21 year old and is expected to go on a 4-day beach holiday. By the time he returns,
Bale’s services would be needed yet again when his side travels to Old Trafford this weekend.
Redknapp said: "It will be good to give Gareth a couple of days extra off. I think the kid needs it. I think he's probably going to go away for three or four days and we'll get him in Thursday morning and it'll do him the world of good. He's tired”, stated
the manager.
Redknapp added that Bale runs a lot in each game and still has one of the best stats in the outfit. The manager explained that Bale has become one of the best for the Spurs and needed a time off owing to his long sprints in every match. The Spurs boss explained
that Bale deserved a time out owing to his outstanding performances for both club and country and that is the major reason behind the manager’s “special treatment” towards the player.
“I walked off the plane and said, 'I bet you never dreamt of scoring a hat-trick at the San Siro'. What a thing for the rest of your life. He does run, he gallops up and down, he's got everything, really", claimed the Spurs boss.
Redknapp has not managed to win a single match at Old Trafford since his arrival at Tottenham two seasons ago. The side gave the Red Devils a tough time last season but Alex Ferguson’s men have always proved to be the better one. However, with the services
of Van Der Vaart and Bale in the squad, United would have to be on their toes for the entire 90 minutes. Failure to do so can give Bale the chance to run-over the defence like he did against Inter and then finish off the opportunity with a neat finish.
