Breaking News: EPL Roundup - Manchester United
Manchester United winger Park Ji Sung has come under heavy fire in recent weeks and is expected to be axed soon owing to dip in his form.
The player who joined Manchester United back in 2005 was greatly impressive in his first years at the club. The Korean has won three Premier League titles along with 3hree league Cups in his five years at the club but remains less charismatic and energetic
than his illustrious team mates. Compare the 29 year old the impact what Cristiano Ronaldo or Wayne Rooney made at the club since their arrival and you would know where exactly the player stands.
Park remains one of the many Manchester United players that need to find employment elsewhere, simply because the club is too big for them. Put Park in a club like Tottenham or Sunderland and the player could do wonders there.
However, for a club like Manchester United who thrive on nothing but the best from each and everyone there, whether be a player, the manager or the cleaning staff; Park’s resume doesn’t fit well and has been speculated for a move away from Old Trafford.
Park along with 9 other players in the Red Devils need to be shown the door following the club’s dismissal form in the Premier League this season, which sees them currently in the third spot with 17 points. Top of the table Chelsea are on 5 point leave from
the Red Devils and nothing but some major squad reconstruction is needed to bring the Red Devils back to their winning self.
Despite all this, Park Ji Sung remains confident than ever to remain in the club for the coming seasons and would want to ignore all the speculations. Park believes he would just want to concentrate on playing football and nothing else.
"I'm not thinking about leaving at the moment. I'll think about my future at the end of the season. The win (over Wolves) was a satisfactory result and I am happy with my performance. My recent form hasn't been that good so it's good to see progress,” claimed
the 29 year old.
The Korean Captain could be used a make shift to lure Tottenham Hotspurs winger Gareth Bale away from White Hart Lane. Bale has become one of the most prized possessions in Europe lately and would be a perfect replacement of veteran left winger Ryan Giggs.
Giggs, 37, may well be in the final year of his career at Manchester United but nothing can be said given the current form of the winger. Giggs remains the English league’s most decorated player in history and it would be sad day for English football when
this legend finally calls it a day on his illustrious football career at Manchester United.
