Breaking News EPL: Sir Alex Ferguson hails Mexican Striker, Javier Hernandez (Chicharito)
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was vocal about his praise for youngster Javier Hernandez, who seems to becoming one of the newest heroes for Manchester United.
The manager tipped Hernandez to become the “next big thing” at United. He is in spectacular form having managed to score 4 goals in 3 appearances for the Red Devils. In total, the player has scored 6 times in 11 appearances for the Premier League club. He
also holds an impressive record in the Premier League, where in two starts, he has scored thrice.
The 22 year old was on target yet again in this week’s Carling Cup contest against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Hernandez was an off the bench substitute in the Carling Cup match and scored in the final minute of the match to take United into their third consecutive
quarter final. It was a brilliant finish from the 22 year old and decided the match in favour of the Red Devils.  
A few days earlier, it was the Mexican’s impressive performance against Stoke City in the league that awarded United with their first away win of the season. Hernandez was responsible of scoring both of United’s 2-1 victory over the Potters over the weekend
and is becoming an instant success for both the management and the fans.
“They tend to build heroes quickly here but he's justifying the praise at the moment. He's very professional, the first out on the training ground and the last one back in every day and he's rightly getting a lot of praise for his goalscoring,” claimed the
Manchester United coach.
Ferguson explained that Chicharito doesn’t let many chances go to waste and takes a shot whenever he has the goal at his sight. The manager added that the player’s first touch, ball control and foresight has improved since his arrival and the major reason
behind that has been the training he’s been getting at United. Sir Alex insisted that the training at the club emphasizing on improving these departments and that is the major reason behind the player’s drastic improvement.
"He was absolutely brilliant - it was a magnificent goal. He's shaped to shoot, dummied the defender and finished really well," stated the manager in praise of the young star.
Hernandez has filled in perfectly in the spot of injured striker Wayne Rooney, who has been sidelined owing to injury for the next 3 weeks. Rooney was the club’s best player last season and bore himself with the goal load of the entire club.
However, this season, the goal load is being shared between Dimitar Berbatov, Nani and Hernandez, with Rooney currently sitting on one goal from six appearances. Nonetheless, following his 5 year contract extension with the club, Rooney is tipped to get
his name back on the scoring sheet and regain his form which led him to become the best player in the English league last season.
