Breaking News: Injury Update for Manchester United
It is good news for the Red Devils as their attack is going to be strengthened with the news of Michael Owen back in the ranks. United head into the “make or break” part of the season, as they play six games in four weeks. These games include the likes of
Chelsea and Arsenal, and wins in these fixtures would bring the Red Devils one step closer towards regaining the premiership crown.
Michael Owen has not played for Manchester United since October but the manager was happy to inform that Owen has resumed full team training and would be up for selection within no time.
"Michael Owen's training now, he's doing very well. He took part in the football side of it yesterday but I would say he's two weeks away [from playing]. We need to make sure he does a good stint of football training before we bring him into the games,"
stated the United manager.
However, there is bad news of Hargreaves’s front as the former Bayern Munich midfielder is expected to be out for further few weeks and may not be available till the start of the new year. The manager was sad on the situation of Hargreaves and stated that
he knew what the player must be going through. Ferguson added that everyone was looking forward to see Hargreaves back in the Red Shirt but it seems there is still time for the player’s full come back.
Manchester United have dropped to the 2nd spot following the narrow victory of Arsenal against Fulham. Mark Hughes' side had a good opportunity to be in the lead following their equalizer but failed to do so. It took two magical moments by in
form midfielder Nasri to get all three points for the Gunners. However, United still have a match to play as their fixture against Blackpool was called off owing to bad weather conditions. Chelsea were frustrated even more when they were held to a 1-1 draw
at Stamford Bridge. Didier Drogba penalty was not enough for the reigning champions, as Everton took charge of the whole of the second half. It took a neat header from substitute Jermaine Beckford to get the one point against the Champions, who have now registered
just one win from past 6 premier league games.
