Breaking News: Kalou speaks up about Carlo
Ancelloti and Chelsea as Arsene Wenger explains Ramsey’s loan move
Ivory Coast’s striker, Kalou has come out and voiced his thoughts over the on-going situation at Chelsea. The young target man was appreciative of Carlo Ancelloti’s trust in the Chelsea players despite the fact that they have lost the past two matches in
the English Premier League. Frank Lampard, John Terry and Michael Essien have all been out of action for the Blues in the past two weeks, their absences have come to haunt the English champions severely as their lead at the top of the league table has been
cut down to just goal difference.
Kalou told Chelsea’s official website, "He (Ancelloti) is very important, he doesn't put pressure on the players. Even without winning we are still training the same way and doing the same things. He has that calm and brings it to the team, making us play
to our full potential. When you play for Chelsea and the team is under pressure, you don't want the whole team to be scared because it's difficult to perform. He has that belief that everything is going to be good if we work hard and continue to train the
way we do.
The Ivorian national added, "It worked in the past, last year we had a difficult time too but we didn't change anything. He brings that self-belief and it helps to keep the pressure off the team." There was news that Carlo Ancelloti will soon part ways with
Chelsea, a club that he joined in the summer of 2009.
Kalou spoke about the reports, as he said, "We never doubted it. It is not because you lose two games that the manager should be under pressure." The 25-year-old added, "It is a real joy working with him and we believe we'll have a great season. We just
focus on the games and try to win. Last year, we won two trophies and this year, we're still in three."
Solomon Kalou went onto say, "We are still first in the Premier League and Champions League but you won't win every game so the most important thing is to focus on the next game and try to win it. Newcastle away is tough but we have the confidence back and
know we can win the game." Chelsea play Newcastle on the weekend, the Blues will be without their midfielders Lampard and Essien as well as their defender, John Terry.
In other news, Wenger has come out and expressed his thoughts on Aaron Ramsey’s move to Nottingham Forest in the Championship. Arsenal have loaned out their midfielder to the Championship side after he had successfully recovered from his broken leg. Wenger
said, “He (Ramsey) has played 45 minutes on Tuesday with the reserves and he came through well. But, of course, he has been out for nine months. The 45 minutes were surprisingly good but we have to see from game to game. We need to give him back competition
and that takes a few games."
Arsene also spoke about Thomas’ potential loan move away from Arsenal, the Frenchman said, "Jay Emmanuel-Thomas will go out because he needs to play. There are plenty of clubs in for him today - I will see this afternoon what we will do."
