Breaking News: Mame Biram Diouf to stay at Blackburn Rovers
In a surprising turn of events, Manchester United has confirmed that on loan striker Mame Biram Diouf is to be with Blackburn Rovers on a permanent deal.
The club is in a world of trouble with the news of Wayne Rooney quiting the club and sources inside the club has now stated that Diouf is to switch to Blackburn Rovers on a permanent deal. Diouf joined Manchester United from Norwegian club 'Molde', last
season and scored his debut goal on his first Old Trafford appearance.
Diouf was however loaned out to gain more experience and had done fairly well in his time with Blackburn Rovers. The player scored a hatrick in his first start for Rovers in the Carling Cup and did well every time he had the ball at his feet. In a total
of 9 appearances, Diouf has scored 4 times in all competitions.
The player was awarded the number 32 shirt by Manchester United, famously worn by Carlos Tevez. It seemed that Diouf was a player for the future of the club and was compared to United legend and now reserve manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. Solkjaer came from
Molde FK as well and went on to became one of the best players for the Manchester based club.
With so much downsizing taking place at Manchester United, only time will tell what will happen to the most famous club on the planet. With 5 draws already this season, United doesn’t seem in the race for the premier league crown and would need drastic reconstruction
in order to get become competitive for the premier league and other competitions.
