Breaking News: Michael Owen ready for Manchester United Christmas Challenge
Manchester United striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Owen-c25355 has claimed himself to be fully fit for United’s next string of fixtures to be played at Christmas. The 31-year-old was struggling with a hamstring concern he picked up while playing against
Sunderland in the Premier league and has since been on the road to recovery.
However, while talking to the club’s website, the player stated that he was fully fit and ready to challenge for a spot in the Manchester United starting XI.
“I’m fit and I’ve been in full training for three-and-a-half weeks. The hard bit now is getting back into the side, trying to force my way back into the squad. That’s not easy at Manchester United,”
claimed the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 striker.
Manchester United management would be delighted to have the former Ballon d’Or winner in their ranks. Owen was considered one of the finest finishers of his time and to leave his exceptional quality out would be a mistake Sir Alex
Ferguson would not want to make.
However, United have done everything but struggle since Owen last played for Manchester United as the side has managed to score 29 goals, coming from 11 different United squad members. That may make things difficult for the 31
year old as United already have an overflow of talent just waiting for their time to come.
With so many replacements for Owen, the player has had more time to just focus on getting fit and not worry about anything else. The player therefore agrees that in Manchester United, the player has more time to make a full recovery.
“There are that many quality players at United that you’re given as much time as you need to come back from injury. I injured my hamstring at the beginning of October, which kept me out for six weeks. Since then I’ve been
able to train fully and work my way back up to full fitness - now I’m fit and hope to play a part in the games over Christmas,”
claimed the 31 year old.
Manchester United face Sunderland in the premier league and would want to keep their good form going in the premier league. A win at Old Trafford would confirm them the top spot for at least this year, which would be a huge confidence
boost for everyone at the United camp.
