Breaking News; Park Ji Sung may move to Spain in January
An English newspaper “The daily mirror”, reported that La Liga side Sevilla is interested in signing Park Ji Sung from Manchester United in the January transfer window.
The Manchester United star is a fan favourite at old Trafford and has been highly praised by a lot of experts. The South Korean captain however has been unable to consistently keep his place in the red devils’ starting line up.
Park Ji Sung has always been admired by manager, Sir Alex Ferguson for his hard work and commitment towards the team. His performances have always been impressive but he has very seldom managed to get the spot light. In past seasons he was unable to come
out of the shadows of players like Ronaldo, Rooney, Giggs, Scholes etc. This season despite his brilliant display he again has been overshadowed by Chicharito Hernandez and Dimitair Berbatov.
Park is 29 years old and may for once want the hype and attention. This is unlikely to be found at a club as huge as Manchester United therefore a move away from Old Trafford cannot be ruled out.
Sevilla’s football director, Ramon Rodriguez has always been a fan of the South Korean. He has been following Park very closely in recent times. The director is very ambitious and wants Sevilla to become a formidable team therefore he is interested in strengthening
his squad.
Sevilla has had an indifferent start to the season. They failed to qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Champions league and have lost games they should have won in the league. The addition of Park Ji Sung will boost the team and will provide valuable
experience as he has played in big European competitions and World cups.
Park still has 2 and a half years remaining on his United contract but the Spanish side is expected to splash out the cash in January. A move away from Old Trafford can be a very big possibility.
