Breaking News: Premier League Roundup - Bolton Wanderers and Fulham
Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba made an explosive comeback to the first team, when he scored the opening goal after coming off the bench. The player scored just after 7 minutes when he replaced Chung Yong Lee and scored a brilliant goal to open
the scoring. Bolton showed some heavy resilience despite Mark Davies being sent off and held on to the lead till the 87th minute, when Manchester United loan striker Mame Biram Diouf scored the equaliser. Bolton refused to settle for the draw and
kept on attacking, which paid off when Stuart Holden scored a stunning injury time goal to gain all three points for the Wanderers.
"Fabrice scored a great goal. It was a big decision for me to leave him out because he has started every game for me. It shows I'm not afraid to make the big decisions. It would have been easy for Fabrice to sulk but he didn't. He came on and scored a wonderful
goal,” stated the Bolton Manager.
Fulham
Fulham manager Mark Hughes has voiced his opinion regarding the shortage of striking options at the club and may be forced to sign a new one owing to the unavailability of Bobby Zamora. Zamora suffered a freak leg break just days after he signed a new contract
with the club and has been ruled out till February. Fulham have managed just two wins since that injury and have been dropping points owing to frustrating draws. Hughes expressed his desire to sign a new striker come January.
"We are missing that Zamora-type player and if we think there's someone out of there we think we can bring in we will look at him. But strikers cost a h**l of a lot of money at Premier League level," stated the former Man City manager.
Fulham travel to Anfield next week and would want a favourable result as they are level in points to relegation threatened Wigan Athletic. Liverpool are the strongest at Anfield and would have to be tackled carefully if Hughes wants to remain above the drop
zone.
