Breaking News: Tottenham Hotspur to make £16.8m bid for Ajax’s Luis Suarez
Tottenham are reportedly preparing a bid for Ajax starlet, Luis Suarez. It has been learnt that Ajax are willing to do the business for around £16.8m.

Spurs boss, Harry Redknapp recognises the Ajax hit man as the final piece of his jigsaw at White Hart Lane. The former Portsmouth boss was earlier interested in signing Newcastle United’s star of the season, Andy Carroll, but now the availability of Suarez
has made him change his mind.
Spurs have been on the lookout for a top class striker since summer. They have revealed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robbie-Keane-c31215 will be allowed to leave White Hart Lane in this January transfer window. Therefore, signing his replacement is a priority for Harry Redknapp.

of £16.8m is met.
This is a significant drop in the price since the summer and has prompted Tottenham to finally make a bid for Luis Suarez. Tottenham have long been in the market to sign a big name player who can take the team to the next level.
Spurs' camp believes that Suarez is that man and expects the Uruguayan to help them in their quest to retain Champions League football this season. However, it is not certain that Tottenham are the only club who are looking to make a bid for Suarez. At the

Luis Suarez has been compared to fellow South American, Carlos Tevez. Both players are full of running and have a good goal scoring record. However, Premier League is a different ball game all together and it remains to be seen how Suarez will adapt to the
physical nature of the English game, that is if he makes the move.
