  1. it dosent matter

get off the hole and play fast to leave

  2. One of the courses I play has signs all over that if you damage houses/property near by, you pay. Check for signs.

  3. must have been a good shot

  4. As I work in the golf industry I can confidently tell you that you are NOT liable for the damage to outlying property from an errant shot. Every golf club in the country takes out public liabilty insurance which covers the golf club for personal injury to players or passers by as well as property damage.

Working in the industry for 26 years in both OZ and NZ I still cannot believe people still want to build or buy homes bordering a golf course. The damage incurred can be very disruptive and the claim through insurance companies is laborious and time consuming for all concerned. So if you hit one of those horrid shots we all hate looking up from the tee to observe and the ball is subjected to being stopped by someones property I can absolutely positively say you are not liable for any damage incurred.

  5. Good Question. To be honest I have no idea.

    Have a good one...

  6. it cause by golf ball.

  7. Your errant shot.....You are liable.  Not the Golf Course

  8. You might be liable, but I'd check with the people that work at the golf course.

  9. If you damage, morally you are liable. So pay up . Leave a note with the name and address and phone number . Then have the measurenemts taken and let your favorite glazer do the work sending the bill thru to your homeowners policy. Better still just pay up and the insurance company need never know.

  10. Technically, (and legally), both you and the golf course are liable.  Since you are the one that did the bad deed, and you are aware that there are windows there, you bare the risk.  Much like you hit a stationary object while you are driving your car, who's liable?  Probably you.

Most golf courses that have bordering houses posts a sign that says the golfer is liable for any damage caused by errand shots.  You can get golf insurance from most insurance companies.

Realistically, more golfers will not own up to the errand shot, and gets away with it.

  11. nope
