Breaking an entry help?

i was wondering, last night about 3 or 4 men were trying to break into my house and the alarm was off, my parents were gone at a party and i couldnt get a hold of them. i saw them snooping around and broke my door handle with most likely a crowbar, it was bashed off. i went to go get my dads gun which he has a lisence for it, it's a hand gun colt 45. one of them was getting in after he broke open the door, so i fired a warning shot to show i have a weapon. while they were down stairs i could see their reflection in the window downstairs and i triggered the house alarm so im guessing that with the combined shot scared them off.

my question is if after the warning shot with my dads lisenced gun, if i shot at them and hit them, would i have any sort of law suit being that im 15?

In Texas you don't need a license to own a gun and if they entered your house you can kill them.

If you don't kill them then I am sure some attorney would like to sue your family, but they are not going to win in court.

They were trying to break into your house and you were defending yourself and your property. You can't be held criminally liable.  If they press charges on you then the police could charge them with the attempted burglary.
