edward impregnating bella does not make sense to me. it is stated that most bodily fluids and emissions are venom. although they say most doesn't it make sense that his sperm might be dangerous to her. who knows what kinda std vampires might have. and edward who buys bella a missile proof car does not use every birth control invented?! did no one stop and think hey edwards sperm might corrode bella from the inside out. and even if it wasn't venomous, did his sperm just sit around for a century?! how is it even possible to get an erection with no blood? it doesnt make sense...can anyone explain to me how any of this is even possible?

  1. The thing is:

    IT IS FICTION.

Not everyone goes around saying, hey, can you explain how Edward could possibly be a vampire? Isn't it possible that Dr. Cullen could get some drugs and this whole thing could be a hallucination?

  2. I agree completely.

Obviously Stephenie Meyer either A) Didn't think this through at ALL or B) Knows less about the human reproductive system than an average middle schooler. I'm going with A, though.

And plus, it says that Rosalie and Emmet do it all the time. Don't you think they would have NOTCIED that Emmet still had sperm (which doesn't make sense either. It would be lifeless anyway), and asked Carlisle about it?

  3. a) only his venom, from biting is venemous

    b) they though that vampires couldn't get people pregnant, because all of that stuff had died. So there was no point to birth control.

c)stephenie meyer probably didn't think of all the specifics.

    d) vampires don't exist therefor none of it is possible

  4. Fiction.

I'm guessing it's hard to be realistic and have a good plot-line that involves vampires and werewolves...

  5. that part made no sense to me

thats one of the reasons why i disliked breaking dawn

  6. lol its fiction sweety anything is possible.

and i'm SURE edward didn't put any thought about his sperm when he was so busy being concerned about killing her while having s*x cuz of his strenght and all. he wasnt thinking about the aftermath if she survived he was only thinking of how to make sure she survived. and besides that maybe he dint kno he even had sperm? and as for getting an erection maybe its the same as breathing he dont need to do it but they still can choose to. well maybe they can still choose to make that body part hard?? idk.. like i said its FICTION ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE :)

by the way i'm glad you've gotten into the twilight series as well they're AMAZING books huh :D

  7. i never thought about the erection part. that is true. well the whole thing is pretty much make believe so i guess stephenie meyer can make mythical creatures get erections too. why not?

  8. THANK YOU!! Finally, someone sees that a guy can't have an erection without BLOOD!! It's BLOOD that does that, NOT s***n or SPERM! It's basic Biology.

She screwed up. She didn't give a good explanation to it all; in fact, she told us to buy the guide when it comes out. Uh, okay. What's the answer though? And the whole corroding Bella thing is absolutely correct. But she didn't think about that either. Obviously because Bella is sooo special.

Everyone is going to say it's fiction but even in fiction there are rules. In Stephenie's world, for three books, the rule was that vampires couldn't reproduce. Why? Bodily fluids were lacking. So how is it that now vampires can reproduce all of a sudden? Now it's female vampires who can't reproduce. Alright... She broke her own rules.
