why did alice have bella go to the ghetto j. jenks office instead of sending her directly to the main building?

Alice sent Bella to the Ghetto so that Bella would be able to understand on her own exactly what Alice wanted her to do with out a detailed story.  If she sent Bella straight to the office Bella wouldn't have been able to analyze the situation and she would have been confused and even more unprepared for who she was going to see.

Jasper had a history with J. Jenks and knew that if Bella didn't go to the ghetto to talk to that man in the street, she would have gone to the lawyers office and have no idea what to do. I also believe that Jasper and Alice would assume that the man in the street would call J. Jenks to spill the beans, so he would know that Bella was coming, and it made Bella look like less of an idiot.

i porsonally loved that part of the book...................and i don't have a clue why.  sorry, i just erased A LOT..........I tend to ramble off when i talk about twilight.

she just had the name of the guy she didnt have the address she found that online, and even the name was slightly changed.

alice didnt have alot of time to write a letter just for bella either... remember the name was just scribbled in one of her books, she was lucky to even get the ghetto address, i mean how many times do you type in a name and a address and everything pops up? her hearing about the papers from that guy was luck- in my opinion if she hadnt the guy would have said "more papers?"

It's so she would know that Alice as sending her to a "shady" individual. If she went to the city she could have run into J. jenks the lawyer/doctor ect... This way Bella knew exactly what Alice wanted her to do.

because bella wouldn't have been able to figure out what alice wanted her to do. if she went to the main building, she wouldn't have heard anything about illegal papers because he only does that kind of business in the ghetto.

alice sent bella to the getto so she could find Max who would help her find out why she was there - alice didn't put in the note because she didn't have time and someone else might have found the note
