Breaking in glasspacks?

i got new 12 in glasspacks like 2 months ago and they still arent very loud...i know you can spray water in them when they are hot..but does that mess it up...and is that legal......or do you know any other ways to break them in quickly

  1. They get louder over time. In a year or two they should be driving you nuts and you will wonder why you wanted glasspacks in the first place.


  2. you need to do whats called "clearing them out" basically....go to a highway where you know has a small on-ramp. this on ramp should be short so that you will be required to floor it to get on the highway. when you floor it....you will hear a few pops that sound like backfires but really you are setting the packs into place. my grandfather had to do this a few times on his caddilac but now they purr. and you will notice that they will get louder over the next year as the glass packs continue to wear down to their optimal level

  3. Drive the h**l out of the car. They are not legal you will sooner or later get a fix it ticked like i did with my 351 c ford ranchero here in california
