Breaking news: Chelsea FC vs. Manchester United match rescheduled in March
The match between Chelsea FC and Manchester United, which was originally scheduled for 19th December, has now been rescheduled to 1st March 2011 at Stamford Bridge. The game will kick-off at 8pm local time.
The date has been fixed, given neither team is involved in the 5th round’s replay of The FA Cup. It has also been learnt that if both sides were to be knocked out of the FA Cup before 1st March, the tie will
be moved to a previous Cup weekend.
The original meeting between the two sides was due on 19th December 2010. However, due to intense snowfall in the area around Fulham road the match was called off.

The Italian, in a pre-match conference told that the break from football, due to the prevailing weather situation, had come as blessing for his side. The former AC Milan manager revealed that he had been able to train his players
during the break and make them ready for the crucial fixtures coming their way.
Carlo also mentioned that the injury to key players in an important phase of the season caused his team to lose points at the top of the table.
Critics believe that the champions do not have the depth in their reserves to withstand an injury crisis, and their shortcoming was exposed during the first half of the season.
However, Ancelotti said that the squad had enough quality to cope with unfortunate circumstances.
He said, “The squad is good, the players are in good condition, players without injury, and the squad is enough in this moment to play this game well - at our best .We had a problem because we had, at the same time, a lot of
players injured.”
He added, “When you are not in a good moment, it's very difficult to put in the young players because you don't want to put responsibility on their shoulders.”
The manager also marked the game against the Gunners as a must-win for the Blues.
He said, “We don't want that gap to widen, so it's important to obtain an important result in this game.”
Chelsea now are 4th in the Premier League after 17 games and are currently 3 points behind leaders Manchester United.
However, the west-Londoners can overtake Arsenal in the league standings if they manage to beat them at the Emirates Stadium.
