I'm on my schools JV volleyball team. Which is great. But i'm playing up as a freshman. And one other thing you should no, i'm the only freshman. All the other players are really good friends. they hang out together everyday and are on the same aau teams (most of them). I really want to fit in with them and are not sure what i should do about it? I'm a setter so they expect al lot from me and i don't want to let them down... any advice?

  1. I was like that. I was starting setter as an 8th grader for the JV team.  It was awkward because all the girls new each other already.

But be yourself.  DO NOT change for the girls.  Once they see the real you, and how amazing your sets are, they will invite you places and talk to you.  And if for some weird, odd reason they don't, then they are not worth your time.  Yeah you can get along at practice but that doesn't mean you have to hang out after school and stuff. Be just remember to be yourself.  Never change for anyone.

  2. It takes time, but it will happen soon. Do not be worry and try to show you like a good player ,start to speak with them more friendlier.

  3. Host a holiday party... and more importantly, work hard at every rally, every move, in a match or during any practice.
