Breakings News: Roberto Mancini urges fans not to target Carlos Tevez against Everton

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has urged fans to back the team ahead of the game against Everton and not target club captain Carlos Tevez over the on going rift between the management and the player.
Tevez, who joined Manchester City in a controversial transfer from rivals Manchester United in 2009, recently expressed his desire to leave the Eastlands, with possible rifts between him and certain club executives being the reason behind his decision.
However, the club has denied the player’s transfer request and Tevez has confirmed that he would still remain loyal in his services till he eventually leaves altogether. Since joining the club, Tevez has become the bread and butter of the club and was awarded
the Captain’s arm band following his 29 goals in 42 appearances for the Blues outfit. The player was the club’s best performer hands down last season and enjoys blazing form this season as well. The player has scored 10 goals already this season in 16 appearances
and remains the side’s most prized asset since the Abu Dhabi Group’s takeover two seasons ago.
Carlos Tevez has been confirmed to start against Everton this weekend and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 has urged the side’s supporters to get behind the team and not jeer at him.

"It’s important that we are focused on Everton and the supporters are focused too. We should forget this [Tevez] because we must focus on the game. Everton beat us twice last year - it will be a difficult game and a tricky one,” stated the Blues coach.
These sentiments were shared by right back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Micah-Richards-c25259, who claimed that Tevez remains the main man for the team. Richards added that Tevez needs to be part of the Man City side if they are to achieve a champions league spot this season.

"We need him in our team if we want to achieve what we want to achieve. He’s our main man and our captain," claimed the young right back.
Manchester City have a good chance to get to the top of the table heading into the new year, as a win against Everton would see them top the premier league rankings.
