  1. It is a good amount for a 2 week old. If you want more try brest feeding then pump right after you might get more plus your daughter will be full so you wontt have to worry for a little longer.

  2. 3 ounces at a time is great.  If that's all you can pump at once, then pump several times to get enough for the day.

Having said that, is there any reason you need to be pumping?  Giving a bottle to a 3-4 week old baby usually isn't a good idea, (you're at risk for nipple confusion)  and you aren't going to be able to go all day without nursing.  Why not just nurse your baby when she's hungry?  Take a break from the slides, and sit down and nurse.

(Or will you be leaving baby at home?  If so, you will still need to pump while you are away from her, or you'll get engorged.)

  3. Congrats to you !!hi try having a warm bath and straight after the bath try to express then >That way your body is warm and the milk will flow better around 3 -4 ounces is enough for your baby Then freeze what you can .. if stilll having problems take someone with you to the water park and when its time to feed stop and feed then enjoy the rest of the time with your other child ..Hope you have fun!!!

  4. 3 oz is PLENTY for a 2 week old to take to the water park.  It's also plenty for one pumping session.  I'd be careful about pumping this early though.  They don't recommend expressing milk or giving a bottle until BF is well established around week 4....are you not able to find a discreet location to feed at the park?  If not then feed baby right before you leave and then as soon as you get home again (don't be out longer than 2 or 3 hours).

  5. I personally would not recommend going a long period of time without pumping or nursing while you are still establishing your supply.

Additionally the more you pump, the more you produce, therefore the more you pump now, you will continue to produce all that extra milk once you stop pumping. Therefore be careful when pumping 3 extra ounces over your regular supply at ever feed. You will end up engorged and very leaky.

However, if an increased supply is what you would like in order to have some milk stored for outings or babysitters then I suggest fenugreek and blessed thistle, both are herbs found in health food stores. Additionally talk to your doctor about getting a prescription for Domperidon. I used the three in comdination with one another with great results.

Due to latching difficulties I pump all my sons feedings, and with the aid of these herbs and meds I know pump only three times a day and get 30-32 ounces a day. However I was pumping 6-8 times a day to establish my supply

  6. pump after every feeding or find a place in the shade and have someone else go with you to help watch your 3 year that way you can nurse your baby while you are at the water park...
