I used Avent the first time around with my first child but it was a long story but i didnt try that hard to keep up and never really got much Milk when i did try. I did have my child 2 months early and it was stressful maybe thats why i never got any.

  1. Medela Pump in Style. I got mine on Craigslist and bought all new tubes, bottles, etc. Anything milk touches I purchased new. The pump was $90 and the accessories were about $30 so I paid around $120 for everything.

  2. I have used a medela pump that worked great but it is pricey. With my first son I expressed by hand, it was very easy...convenient, and free! So if you think your going to use it regularly go for the pump, but if its just occasional, maybe you might want to try your hand first.

  3. I have heard great things about the Medela and Ameda.

Both are around $250 to $350.

  4. I used medela.  My friend who had a preemie born 3 months early also used medela.

New you can buy one for around 300$!!

I found mine on craigslist.com someone was selling theirs for 50$.

I bought the replacement parts(the parts that touch someone elses b*****s) from target and babydepot.

I would not recommend anything else.

  5. With my first baby I had a hard time using it because it was manual so I would get really tired pumping. The electric ones were too expensive so I had no choice. I am pregnant with my second baby and this time I am buying an electric one becuase it's so much easier. I found one at target that's is cheap and I know someone that is using it right now and it's really good.

  6. Sorry to hear Avent didnt work for you. i used it for 6 months and i never had any problems with it. in fact, i found it to be a relieving experience. it didnt hurt, and i always managed to fill a bottle for when i had to leave my baby at my mothers house.
