I have had very large b*****s since i was 14 I am currently a 34D and I have always had bad back pain from it , I think from hunching over so they dont look so big. . So I have been thinking of getting a reduction But should I do this before or after i have kids? Will it effect breast feeding? I know they will get bigger when Im pregnant and im dreading it.

  1. to tell you the truth it doesn't matter when you get a breast reduction as long as its not during your pregnancy. I understand how you feel. I'm 18 and I've had big breast for as long as i can remember. I was a 40DD when i started but now that I'm pregnant i am currently a 40E and i can barely fit this. I have to get my bra's custom made. My doctor says that when my breast stop growing depends. They could stop growing soon or continue growing up until the day i give birth. XD

  2. I would wait until after.  There is a possibility that you will not be able to breast feed as a result of pregnancy.  Not to mention, of course they will get bigger during your pregnancy and probably bigger still if you chose to breast feed, some mother's breast stay big and others go back.  If I had known what I know now, I would have never had mine augmented prior to having a baby... I am now a 36 E!!  I'm sure I would have been a normal size if I didn't get the implants, now I'm cursing the day I ever decided to do that.  Something similar could happen to you... you can have them reduced before, run the risk of not being able to breast feed (not sure how important that is to you) and then find yourself needing to reduce them again after... frankly, I'd rather just pay the one time.  Not intending to be rude, but your b*****s would decrease in size if you lost some weight, they are usually the first place it starts to come off of.

  3. I suggest you to be in natural shape.Change your style of wearing bra to reduce your back pain.I think it will help you a lot. After having kids you can experiment.  :-)

  4. I would wait until after you have your children. I worked with someone who was a DD. She had and breastfeed 2 children and lost her b***s! She is literally an A cup now. I realize this is not the norm.

I am also 5'3, I weighed 150lbs prior to giving birth and I was(am) a size 34D,(probably a DD if I was honest with myself), I was totally dreading my b***s getting bigger and thought it would be horrible but it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. They didn't get out of control until my milk came in and even then they went down once my daughter started nursing.

    Good luck!

  5. I'd consult a dr. One of my friends had a breast reduction and then was unable to breastfeed. I don't know if thats normal or just something that happened to her.

  6. I would wait until after you have kids. It is very likely that you can't bf after the surgery. I have a friend who had a reduction in high school and it kinda "re-routed" her milk ducts to where the milk never made it to the openings of the nipple. Also, you might as well wait until after you have kids because pregnancy will make your b*****s bigger no matter what, even if you never decide to breastfeed. It could potentially cause you to need/want the surgery again. The good thing is, big b*****s don't tend to grow as much as small b*****s do during pregnancy. It is very common for a woman to go from an A to a big C, but sometimes women with D cups only have to get a wider band. Not always, but sometimes.

Also, I'm 5' tall and a 34D before pregnancy. They are big, but don't give me many problems. I wear them with pride and keep them modest. Maybe if you found some shirts that made you less self consious about your b*****s you could learn to love them rather than want to change them. If the back problems are only due to slouching it would save you quite a bit of long hours in pain if. I only say this because breast reductions are expensive and very painful. 34D isn't that big, and I believe it is equivalent to a 36-38C, just slightly different fitting.

  7. It really all depends upon the extent of the surgery and the consequent disruption of the breast architecture.Where the breast tissue is intact and retains a duct system you will produce milk.

Where the tissue is divided and the duct system absent, early changes to produce milk will cease, as the milk is not removed.

A similar effect occurs when someone stops breastfeeding. Initially the b*****s become engorged but quite quickly milk production ceases and the engorgement settles. You should begin to get some indication towards the end of pregnancy about how much milk production you will achieve. It will inevitably be less than it would have been had you not had the operation. It may require you to express and supplement. But you may produce some milk that you choose to use. It is very unpredictable.

    I hope this helps.

  8. my sister in law had one done before the baby .now her b***s are back the way they were .so ide wate until you get rid of the body fat from the baby then get it done

  9. I would do it after. My b*****s have gotten a lot bigger. And I also fear that when I am done breastfeeding they will be ... different.

    : (

It would be amazing if I could just have a surgery to fix it all! Plus, I got stretch marks due to the sudden growth. If you had the surgery and then they simply grew again... You may get a lot of stretch marks. (Of course that may not bother you. I just hate mine)

I'm so sorry about all your discomfort. Good luck to you!

  10. i suggest before because during pregnancy they will get bigger

  11. It will depend on how old you are now and when you are going to have kids.

If it's ten years away it may be worth it (even if you can't breast feed - yes yes I know very naughty - but it could cause permanent musculosketal problems and not being able to pick your kid vs breastfeeding).

Talk to some specialists and see what they say...
