Question:

Breast regulations on Ballet and Swimming?

Hello all,

Don't mean to offend anyone but I have noticed that professional athletes that participate on swimming and ballet and such are not very voluptuous and I'm wondering if there is any regulation at all, in any discipline that forbids or regulates this.

I do understand that this condition comes from the exercises they undertake as part of their training, and that they develop other muscles, but I heard about a girl that was "forced" to lose "fat in her chest" or she were to be taken out of her ballet program.

Thank you

  1. Well actually, the suits that the swimmers wear flattens their chest.

As a Ballet dancer, I can tell you that we have to be in shape. BUT it has nothing to do with our chest.

  2. they probably wear tight sports bras so they don't jiggle.

  3. I don't think there's a rule per se.

Having small b*****s probably just makes it easier to move around. In fact, losing weight in any part of your body probably does that.

  4. It's not that they're required to be flat -- the training often makes them that way, though, not to mention that a flat swimmer will probably perform a bit better because she'll have a more streamlined shape in the water.

  5. very supportive sport bras, or padding(in bathing suits) can make it appear that way...but i think it comes with training also

  6. I remember an interview on a TV show a few years ago with an Australian Olympic swimmer, Lisa Currie.  She mentioned she had to have breast enhancement to overcome the effects of her swim training after she had finished her swimming career.

  7. I was watching the swimming yesterday and I noticed this too, most of the women have near to nothing on their chest besides muscle.

I don't think there are any rules but I could be wrong.

I guess it's mainly from their suits which press them in really tight and having to work out so much would get them a lot of muscle like you said.

With the girl that you said was 'forced' to lose fat in her chest, I wouldnt be surprised if this was true. Some people go to crazy extents to make ballerinas look perfect.

    hope this helped xx

  8. Like Gymnastics, (i'm watching the Olympics)

The exercises stop your growth. I don't think swimming gives the same effect as ballet & gymnastics though.

Ballet & gymnastics have very strict rules. Swimming does also, but it's a thing that doesn't stop your growth in such a short time period.

  9. There is no 'regulations' necessarily, but having larger b*****s in ballet and swimming can be very painful when doing things like jumps or such. Also, it's a bit difficult to wear a bra in either situation, so it's preferred to have smaller b*****s over larger ones.

  10. swimmers have b***s the suits they were just flatten them out ballet people  are just forced to be tiny
