  1. I have one just like this and I love it.  I can still see him while he is nursing and it has full coverage and is easy to use.  I think if you are really worried about feeding discreetly it will help ease your mind, but no matter what you use people will know what it is you are doing.

I love it and recomment it to my friends.

  2. I think they are a waste of money to be honest. A better way is to make your own if you are at all handy. Here is a website to tell you how.

What I do is this....try to wear a wrap over a spaghetti strap, you know, the things that tie in the middle? I kinda just drape one end over my son's head and voila! covered! and I can still see him because of the angle the wrap is in when it covers him. My friend used an apron. Hooter Hiders are normally about $40 and all they are if you look at them are really expensive aprons. Go and buy a $5 apron somewhere (a short one obviously!) and just use it.

You will get used to feeding out in public soon enough and you will come up with your own tricks, all of us do eventually, it does take some time though.

  3. I like the breastfeeding tank tops with a loose shirt over it. The tank covers the belly then after you get the baby feed you can put the loose shirt over it. I never liked feeding in public i like that walmarts are putting places to sit in the faimly bathrooms for that reason!

  4. I think that method is overkill! You might as well carry around a tent and retreat into that for privacy. That method seems to be a lot to carry around, especially if you have a diaper bag. If you're trying to be discreet, a complicated and large contraption is not the way to go. There are a lot of good breastfeeding tops you can wear that have discreet access to the breast. Along with the blanket, you should do okay. There are some blankets specially made the cover for breastfeeding, too.

Plus, practice is important. After a few times breastfeeding in public, I was able to do it quickly and discreetly and no one ever knew.
