Breastfeeding taking the pill and having cramps with no period???

Question

I'm taking the micro pill and breastfeeding my 11 week old son. It is my time to get me period (according to the pill cycle) but I haven't started and I have been have serious cramps for about a week now. Paranoid, I got a preg test (negative), has anyone else had this? I know all about the uterus contracting but this is my 3rd child and this hasn't happened to me before. It's bothering me.

You should not take the pill when you're breastfeeding! Who told you to do that??? When you breastfeed your period stays away...

I never got my period on the mini pill while nursing, but I did get cramping occasionally.

Sometimes when women are breastfeeding, they don´t have a regular period. Some women go from 9 months pregant, to the bleeding right after pregnancy, then no period for a while. (and sometimes don´t realize they´re pregnant with another one because of it!) :D If you´re really concerned, ask your doctor.

I'm on that pill and my doctor told me that even if I'm taking it my period still may not return until I finish breastfeeding or start to ween.. enjoy it while you can... mine actually started again 7 weeks after giving birth :(
