Breastfeeding your 8 year old child?

OK I found this on youtube and could not be more disturbed by it. Does anyone else agree that this is wrong in every sense of the word? What makes a woman try and justify something like this? Is she ill or perverted?

I agree breastfeeding your child is the best thing you can do but at this age? You have got to be kidding me.

That doesn't look sexual at all it looks pretty normal and loving to me. Just because us americans only breastfeed till 2 yrs of age doesn't mean that its wrong to breastfeed a child that's older. The child will know when she doensn't want to feed anymore.  I think you were one of those parents that were like"eww" with breastfeeding and bought formula for her kids.  To me that is weird.

Honestly, at 8 years old there is literally NO NEED to nurse. Good night, by 2-3 your child shouldn't be breastfeeding for that matter. If she is claiming she enjoys the bonding element, then she is very warped because by 8 there are MANY ways to bond that won't psychologically damage your child.

I'm wondering why this isn't deemed actual abuse and looked into by CPS? Any other instance of a mother allowing her child of 8 to in some manner intentionally touch her b*****s would probably, and appropriately be deemed sexually abusive. That mom shouldn't have her child(ren), she's destructive.

i believe that she is sick and needs to get some help. 8 years old is entirely tooooooo old. That child is going to have mental issues when they get older. I believe that it should be looked at as a case of child molestation or something

biologically no its not nasty but technically yes its disgusting. Breast milk is very healthy and gives all nutrients and cures sickness but that's a little over the top in this culture i wouldn't do it.

I couldn't even finish watching that. So disturbing. I have three children breast fed them all. They stopped around 1 year. This woman is warped and her children are going to be mental.

that is ridiculous. attachment or not, the mother should have made the decision long ago to stop it. it shouldn't be the childs decision. the decision should be based on the child, but not from the child!!

I've seen this video before, and have heard several stories like it.  To me, it seems like the parent has a real problem letting go and letting their children grow up.  They argue that breastfeeding is a way to nurture and bond with their children, but bonding and nurturing need to be done in an age appropriate way.  I don't think these mothers are perverts or ill or anything, I just think they refuse to let their children grow up.

I have watched this before on youtube and on the Trya Banks Show.

The mom seriously has issues. I don't know, some type of relationship issues, be it with her husband, her own parents, or her kids. I don't believe that she is perverted but I do think that she needs to see a therapist.

Oh yeah, and on the Trya show, the women let her have it. They showed her that they all disapproved with it and lots of them called her nasty things..so I believe that she knows how other people feel about this, but she doesn't care b/c she doesn't see anything wrong w/it....weird huh..
