Question:

Breastmilk..Formula???

I was pumping and feeding my son about 2.5 - 3.0 ounces breastmilk and now today switching to formula he only eats 1.5 ounces...is it normal for a baby to eat less of formula?? Is it more filling?? thanks in advance for the answers..

  1. yes, he may go longer in between feedings as well.


  2. Yes it is more filling but dont substitute it...its not as healthy...we only use formula when we run out of breast milk

  3. yes it is normal as it is much more filling and because he is new to formuala it will take him time to get used to it this happened with my daughter

  4. Yes. Formula is packed with nutrients and vitamins for baby. Breast milk is too but its not loaded with extras and your breastmilk has alot to do with what you ate that day. The consistency is a little different too, breast milk is thinner and formula seems more creamy.

  5. Yes it is normal because formula is more filling.

  6. It is perfectly normal.  Its new to them and intented to be more filling.  Also with how expensive it is, it is great that it is more filling.
