  1. I heard about that (I live in Lake county). I think it's a GREAT idea. Far too many drunk drivers and people thinking it's OK to do.

Just about every other car I pass on the road has "Party Plates." That tells me something.

  2. that's a great idea

  3. I used to hang out at a bar that had a breathalizer by the exit door. It cost one dollar per test, and at the end of the night there was always a line up of people waiting to use the machine.  They were not checking if they were sober enough to drive, it was always a group of people having a contest to see who was the most impaired!  They would cheer and celebrate each time someone's reading was higher than their friend's.  It's only real function was to encourage people to drink more!!

  4. It sounds like a great idea, if any drunks would pay attention to the results. But almost always, a drunk driver knows they are drunk, and drive anyhow. Also, the way alcohol is metabolized in the body, a person could use the machine and get a safe reading and then half an hour later, while on the way home be totally wasted, getting drunker and drunker for an hour or so.

There are risks, but one life saved may be worth it.
