Today me and my friend ran. He noticed that I breathe really hard when we run. I know that you're supposed to breathe hard but i think mines a bit too loud. Is there a way to quiet it down? Maybe if i focused a lot more on it? Its so hard for me too though when i try and keep it normal I end up gasping for air cause its like i just got down with holding my breath.

I just started running a little less than 2 months ago.

  1. The same thing happened to me when i first started running, your just not used to it. breathing hard or pains in the side or chest (moderate of course) are normal for beginners. youll eventually have better breathing after you run a bit more.

  2. You just need to stay relaxed and control you breathing. Next time you go for a run, deliberately breathe in deep and slowly, then exhale slowly.

When you can, try to breathe in through your nose and/or mouth. Breathe out your mouth.

If you don't beleive it helps try this. Take a deep breath as much as you can and hold it. Then try to take in more air through your mouth.

Take another deep breath and hold it. Now try to breathe in with your nose.

It will take some getting use to breathing through your nose, keep it up. Always stretch before and after your workouts.

  3. well it is not going to stop until you get in shape if you run little more and get your body used to it youll be fine! god bless
