Breeches???

Question

Ok so this might seem like a stupid question...but still...Im going to buy new breeches but i don't know what size...The ones i have right now are childrens XLG. But im not going to buy in the childrens section but in the ladies section...and the sizes go differently than in the kids...Im going to buy online so thats why i can't try them on...The ones that i wan't to buy come in sizes 24-34.

i weight about 108 pounds so what size do i buy??? Thanks=]

I'm 5'6" and when I was 108 lbs (too many years ago) I wore a 26". That would probably be a good guesstimate. Good luck! Yeah, I agree that return postage is insane.

Check out the size chart most sites have them for comparison.  Make sure you can return them if they don't fit.  Many sites also have a way to chat or email your questions for advise.

Have you thought of just for sizing (although all brands are cut differently) going to a local shop so you can find a pair that you like and try various styles and brands so you know which ones you like..then go to the internet.

Until you know what you need...return postage can get to be very expensive..trust me, I know!!

I would guess 26, but it depends on your body type.  Are you a short, wide 108 pounds, or a tall, skinny 108?  

Can you still fit into childrens XL?  If so, stick with that since they are likely to be cheaper for the exact same thing that you'll find in the ladies section.

Can you go to a tack shop and try some on just so you know what size fits best to order online?

Use a tape measure.

24-34 is the waist measurement in inches.

it depends if they are low rise or high rise-measure your waist where the top of the breeches will fit. (in inches)
