Ok, we got a CFA registered Red And White Persian kitten about a month ago.
When we got it it had already had its first set of shots and been examined for health issues by a vet.
We were told that it was a female kitten.
But, now that we look at its "kitty parts" it looks more like a Male.
Of course its difficult to see with the long fur.
We paid the extra fees for the kitten because it is a girl and had a better coat then the rest of the litter.
And on its CFA papers it is under "Female".
We are taking him/her to the vet in a few days for the rest of her/his kitten shots.
So, then hopefully we will know for sure the gender of this poor mixed up kitty.
But, the funny thing, is that this isn't the first time that we have bought a so called "Female Persian" that actually turned out to be a male.
About 12 years ago we got a so called "female" white persian kitten.
But, then ABRACADABRA! Its a boy kitty.
Is this a common mistake cat breeders make? Or is it just a coinkydink?
