Breeding A Society finch and a Gouldian Finch?

my female society finch mated with my male gouldian and layed an egg. Will the egg be fertile?? If so What would the chicks look like??

  1. No the egg won't be fertile.  Gouldians have only been know to cross breed (hybridize)  with Parrot Finches.    It is not uncommon for birds of different species to form pair bonds (and even exhibit mating behavior)  in the absence of a suitable mate of the same species, and the female of the pair will often lay eggs.  However if the species are not genetically similar then the eggs will not be fertile.
