Breeding bars to stress bars on my female betta?

ok so i plan to breed my pair of bettas and i have done my research dont worry and just when i thought i hit the jackpot since my female was finally displaying her breeding bars i released her the male nipped her twice then she displayed stress lines D<

is this normal should i leave them in there the male has made the bubble nest he is all prepared but the female is not showing the breeding pars she has the white dot showing and filled with eggs

should i leave her in there or not? and if yes are the bushy plants i put in for her protection ok in the tank when they embrace if they do?

i have many bushy plants and no lecturing please i just want the answers

  1. Here is my secret to breeding bettas.  Put a female betta full of eggs in a glass mason jar with the water filled to the top and place this jar inside the tank with the male betta.  He will start courting the female and start building bubble nests.   When she is ready to breed, she will jump out of the jar into the tank and breeding will begin within minutes.  If no eggs are laid within an hour, put her back into the jar or try again later.  If eggs are laid, remove the female as soon as she is depleted because only the male will tend the nest.  Remove the male a week after the babies have begun eating.  Microworms are a great food that is easy to culture and you can buy a starter culture off of eBay.


  2. Le4ave her in, she will run from the male for up to a day or  b4 actually letting him try to wrap her. Don&#039;t worry, it is just a matter of time!
