  1. Make sure she is a quiet area with the male, not noisy traffic by a window or something, then put in a chemical called stress zyme.  It worked really well for my stressed out fish!  Wait a couple of days, and make SURE she is plump with eggs before adding her in WITH  the male!  Hope this helps!

  2. I wouldn't breed Beta's.

Due to the fact that they're fighting fish.

Males will fight each other to the death.

So It would be pretty hard unless you had a bunch of tanks.

  3. i don't know much about breeding but one thing i do know is that the female betta will get very aggressive after mating and will most likely kill the male so be careful

  4. What you can do is take the female out of the tank with the male and put them in containers where they can see each other and then when you see the bars you can put them back in together......the same thing happened to me and that's what i did and it worked...

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!

  5. She is not ready to breed when she shows stress lines. remove her and recondition her for a week or two, keep her clean and warm (80F), feed her with high quality betta food or with live food, i find feeding them mosquito larvae work best in conditioning them for breeding.

    Good Luck.
