  1. Please don't breed birds. You need to study up by first buying and reading bird care manuals.

My grandfather bred budgies and it is time consuming work.

First thing that you do when yo have learned the proper care of these birds is to get them health-certified for breeding by a vet.

Nest boxes go in the cages, birds take care of the rest.

Just because a hen lays an egg will mean that she knows that she has to sit on it.You will need an incubator.

You will need to keep the nestlings warm if she doesn't care for them. That means that you also need a brooder and avian sun, basking lamps.

Babies need to be hand fed a formula six times a day.Hand-feeding formulas are available at pet stores. You will need a food thermometer and feeding syringes as well. A bird -appropriate scale is also necessary so you can keep track of the nestlings' weights. You could be doing this for nearly three months, you need to watch when the babies start exploring solid foods. Then you will need a weaning food.

  2. Please keep in mind the birds we keep are Exotic creature's, Not Domestic like dogs in any way what so ever.

One doesn't merely put a male and female bird in a cage together, they breed, they have egg's, then chicks, Doesn't work like that at all.

There is much to learn about birds in general, then about the species you have, then more about diet, crops, behaviors, egg binding and so much more...like hand feeding, plus.

Read and learn all you can, then talk to local breeder's.

Do many searches online to learn more.

Other wise she shouldn't consider breeding exotic birds.

Go here and read and read and learn all that's involved-

Then do search's for Breeding Exotic Birds
