  1. Yes, that is the right thing to do. But you must do it at 4 weeks of age, not 2 weeks. When hamsters are 2 weeks old they still rely on their mother's milk. Good luck with your hamsters!

  2. they should be seperated at approx 3-4 weeks depending on their size, do not separate them if they are runts or are still feeding from mum. at 3-4 weeks they should be running around independantly and eating solids. at this stage you must separate the male and female pups, keep them separate from each other and the parents. males will fight with the dad if not separated, females will not fight but will soon become pregnant from dad or brothers!! keep an eye on the male pups and if they start to fight then keep them individually. normally siblings of the same s*x do not fight when kept together since birth, if males are separated and then put back together they will fight. hope this makes sense!!!!

good luck and give them a cooch from me

  3. wait intill they are three weeks old thats when they are weaned i breed mine and yeah you can put them in with their dad

  4. Thats right but don't put the males in with dad - he could kill them. And wait until they are a little older, about 4 - 6 weeks will do.

    Good luck with the pups!

  5. If you don't know this, why are you breeding? The males must be separated from the females by four weeks. I hope you don't still have the father in with the mother or she's likely pregnant again, which would be terrible for her health.

  6. Never put any of them with their dad, he's very likely to kill them - hamsters don't have paternal instincts. Two weeks is very young to be moving them around, you should wait until they are at least 6 weeks old before you do that, after which you should start thinking about separating the sexes to prevent any likelihood of further breeding. Find out when your particular breed of hamster meets sexual maturity and err on the side of caution.
