Which is easier to breed? I was just wondering (for those of u with this experience) how much effort goes into raising baby hamsters/rabbits? And any suggestions u have for me on the topic would be appreciated? These animals would remain strictley as pets so i don't really care about hybrids?

  1. Rabbits..you can breed them in an outside cage...they breed like rats..FAST!!!  You won;t have to smell them...

  2. i have had both animals and both breed VERY easily but I would have to say rabbits breed faster. make sure the animals get used to each other first before u just throw them in with each other

  3. ever heard the term "they breed like rabbits"? rabbits are very easy to breed. just stick a male and female together in early spring *usually, but may get on anytime* and in about a month you'll have baby bunnies! when the bunnies are born, the female and babies need SPACE. she'll become very agressive towards everyone when the babies are still suckling, and if she feels threatened, she will actually EAT her babies. she'll mellow out once the babies are weaned. rabbits should not be kept together though, they are territorial and will fight with eachother even though they look so cute and nice and cuddly.
