Breezes Runaway Bay?

Question

Hello! I'm going to BRB in June 2008 and was wondering what everyone recommends for things to do there. I'm looking around all sorts of websites to see what there is to do and see.

I'd like to hear from those who have been there, especially recently (Like the past six months). So if you could let me know if you've been to BRB, or to Jamaica itself, and when, that would be great!

Okay I am from Jamaica and just went back to visit about 2 months ago now. It is still beautiful and yes it is fun. I have not been to BRB though so cant advice on that. However there are themes parks and beaches that you can go too. There is Dunns River Falls in Ochio Rios and there is a craft market there too. There is also Aqua Sol theme park and beach, there is just so much to do there. HAVE FUN IN THE SUN.

I visited BRB in September, 2007 and I must say that it was just "okay".  Although the resort have renovated rooms, we did not get so lucky.  We requested and actually paid for not only a renovated room, but also an ocean front room.  Instead we received a room infested with mosquitos and the view of the back of one of the restaurants.  We requested the room to be disinfected, and it seemed as if they sprayed something to attack us even more... that part of the visit was just awful.  We were afraid to leave our bags open in fear that the mosquitos were going to get into our clothing. The food was decent to say the least.  The selection... eh, it was ok. We visited the resort for 6 days, and after the 3rd day, we noticed that we were eating the same thing, just with a different name. The resort alone is absolutely beautiful and the staff was very helpful, however, the unpleasant feeling of being irritated with mosquito bites made the trip very unfavorable.  The room itself was okay, a little run down.  You know that the furniture could have used refurbishment, however, the bathroom was very nice.  The beds were not that comfortable, but we made it through. The entertainers were great... they kept the guest entertained and for the most part, there is always something to do. The bartenders were great as well. my boyfriend stayed at breezes runaway bay 2 years ago.  it is a very active resort.  always something to do and day trips to take.  the canopy tour is great if you like adventure, and of course you need to do dunn's river falls which is beautiful.  the resturants are great he said.  what is nice about breezes is it is away from most other resorts.  they have a sort of "booze cruise" dinner thing.  where they have a dj and all food drinks you can handle!
