While addressing a question regarding persistent drug violence in Mexico, Villa said that she and her team are entirely focused towards booking their spot to London.
"In the Pan American Games, Olympic Games, we've had security with us a lot of the time. So it's not anything different for us. My parents have traveled down there, and they've been fine. So really we're just excited to go to a new city and I'm excited for the team to see some of Guadalajara. … This kind of gives them a little taste of what my culture is," Villa added.
The water polo competition for Men’s and Women’s will take place from October 23 to 28, in addition more than 500 American athletes are taking part in the competition.
She said that London Games will be her fourth potential Olympics and she cannot afford to miss the biggest stage of sports.
