Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, has claimed that midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Gerrard-c34196 is still an integral part of the team and is delighted with the progress of the player after he underwent a shoulder surgery earlier this summer.

Rodgers claimed that the players have returned after a deserved break and is happy that they are training well. He admitted that Steven Gerrard deserves a lot of credit for working out tirelessly throughout the course of the summer
to recover from the injury.
“It's like the first day back in school - all the players are back in with little tans, refreshed and looking well. None more so than Steven. It's a big credit to him - he's worked tirelessly over the summer,” he was quoted as
saying in an interview.
The former Swansea City boss stated that Gerrard has recovered ahead of time and hailed the midfielder’s commitment towards the club. He stated that the veteran is on course to start the season for the Reds and is confident that
the team will improve further in the upcoming campaign.
Rodgers added that Gerrard is still in great shape and his fitness is key for the club to do well in the next season.
“He had his operation towards the end of the season and the plan was for him to continue his rehab over the off-season. He won't be too far away. He looks great and is in great condition. He's 33 now but Steven is still an integral
part of what I'm trying to do here and will be for the next few years,” he concluded.
