Rodgers has affirmed the owners of Liverpool F.C that he has a long term plan to take the club forward in English football as well as the European side of the game. The former Swansea City manager recently submitted a full 180
page dossier containing his plans and philosophy for the club to John W Henry to tell the owners of the club about his future plans.
Liverpool have not won a single league title in the past two decades and now Rodgers has been appointed the club manager after Kenny Dalglish was fired at the start of the transfer window. Dalglish won the Carling Cup last season
but that wasn’t deemed enough by John W Henry who wanted the club to focus on the English Premier League and perhaps gain a UEFA Champions League qualification place.
Rodgers impressed during his time at Swansea as he moulded the Premier League minnows into a side which kept possession of the ball which surprised a lot of the bigger teams in the league. Liverpool’s problem last season was their
inconsistency when it came to Premier League football as they found it hard to score goals.
Rodgers said, "I started over 15 years ago, and it's something I've been piecing together for many years since. Then, when I became a manager, I put it into a format with a philosophy and methodology. I've added to it throughout
and when I came to Liverpool, I presented it to the owners.”
He added, "The vision is simple - to win the most trophies we can. That's the bigger picture. The second is to play attractive, attacking football, and the third is to bring through as many of the young players as we possibly can.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809’s fans will hope that Rodgers can implement his plans successfully but still remains to be seen how much time he will be given at the helm to achieve this feat by the owners of Liverpool, who were pretty ruthless in getting
rid of Kenny Dalglish despite his legendary status amongst the club’s supporters.
