Brendan Rodgers sees no logic in Suarez joining Arsenal – Football news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 manager, Brendan Rodgers, claims that he sees no logic if Luis Suarez joins Arsenal this summer. The manager admitted that it has been a frustrating time for the striker as the club have not been playing in the UEFA Champions League for quite some
time now.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 have had two official bids rejected for the Uruguayan international this month as the Merseyside based club do not want their player to join a rival. The London giants have shown keen interest in signing the attacker after they failed to get hold
of Gonzalo Higuain, who joined Serie A side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 earlier this week.
Rodgers claimed that his side is improving every season and the squad is very string for next season. The manager stated that he is unable to understand the speculation surrounding Suarez’s exit from the club. He stated that he sees no reason for the striker
to swap for Arsenal.
The tactician admitted that Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in the world and players admire it heavily.
“I know what we are trying to build and grow, so why would you swap Liverpool to go to Arsenal? I am not sure that it adds up, to be honest. Arsenal have a wonderful history in their own right but Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world,” he
was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Swansea City manager added that his team needs to step up the challenge to find a place in the top four. He wants the side to qualify for the UEFA Champions League and is confident of an impressive display.
“We are not in the Champions League and haven't been for a while now, but we have to step up to the challenge. It is difficult for Luis, I understand that. If a team wants you, it can be difficult. But it is not something we want to run on for too long,”
he concluded.
Liverpool will take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Melbourne-Victory-c39899 on Wednesday with a 2-0 scoreline.
