Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers opined that his predecessor, Kenny Dalglish was ‘unlucky’ in the Reds underachieving league campaign last season, and claimed that he will look to build the confidence of the squad ahead of the coming season.
The Merseyside club went through one of their worst league campaigns in almost 54 years, as they only managed to compile 52 points during the entire season. However, their dismal show has been attributed by many to their bad fortune, as they were denied

the Reds are one of the best teams in the league defensively, and vowed to resurrect the team’s confidence during his early days in order to redevelop their winning mentality.
He told the reporters in an interview, “If you look at Liverpool's record last year, I think Kenny was very unlucky. They had so many games that they dominated but just failed to hit the back of the net, and defensively they were reasonably strong. It is
just a case of trying to improve on what has been happening in the last couple of years and giving the players confidence to go and win games.”
The 39-year old also termed the Liverpool fans as the most ‘educated’ when it comes to football knowledge, and believed that given their similar nature to those of the Swansea City fans, his transition from Liberty Stadium to Anfield came about with a lot
of ease.
