Brendon McCullum credits Guptill after series win – Cricket News

victory against the home team.
Having won the toss, the visitors opted to bat first in ideal batting conditions. It turned out to be a great decision, as the Black Caps posted a mammoth total of 359 runs on the board for the loss of just three wickets.
Guptill played out of his skin and scored an unbeaten 189, which is the highest individual score in an ODI by a New Zealander. The right-hander struck 19 fours and a couple of massive hits out of the park.
The Poms managed to score just 273 runs in reply before being bowled out in the 45th over of the innings, losing the fixture by 86 runs.
While expressing his delight after the post-match presentation ceremony, the wicketkeeper/batsman showered praise on Guptill and Ross Taylor, who scored his second consecutive half-century of the series.
